[U.S. Virgin Islands] – Eligible residents can receive up to $25,000 to cover outstanding expenses ranging from delinquent mortgage loans, property taxes, and outstanding homeowner association and condominium fees under the newly launched Homeowner Assistance Program, V.I. Housing Finance Authority Interim Executive Director Dayna Clendinen announced Wednesday.

A total $8.5 million has been allocated to the territory – approximately 60-percent of which must assist homeowners with incomes at or below 100 percent of the area medium income.

U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) has awarded Plexos Group, LLC a one-year professional services contract for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). Valued at a little more than $1 million, the Plexos Group’s proposal was the most cost-effective at providing case management services for the federally funded eviction protection program administered by the VIHFA.

CDBG 2021 GRANT APPLICANTS ANNOUNCED

 

U.S. Virgin Islands –The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA), as the administering agency for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), announces that a series of public hearings has been scheduled to present projects which have been selected for funding under the Fiscal Year 2021 CDBG grant allocation.

ST. CROIX, USVI –The Envision Tomorrow Homeowner Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program has issued its first set of Notices to Proceed (NTP) to contractors kicking off active construction in the highly-anticipated housing recovery program.

 

Homes in the territory will be under construction in June to repair damages sustained during Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. Rehabilitation work include roof repairs, replacing windows, tiles, electrical upgrades, etc.

ST. CROIX, USVI –The Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) announced today that it intends to keep the EnVIsion Tomorrow Homeowner and Rental Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program moving forward despite the impact that the growing coronavirus health crisis has had throughout the Territory and the world.  In an effort to prioritize worker safety, VIHFA has directed that its contractors implement measures to keep clients and employees as safe as possible and follow all safety protocols outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
